Scottsdale, Arizona · Interior design package
Casa Palacio
A Spanish hacienda estate in Scottsdale with arcaded loggias, a lagoon pool and a great lawn. The studio's interior package takes it room by room: lime wash and limestone, fluted panel and light oak, and the arches let back into the light.
The idea
Casa Palacio is a large, well-built hacienda whose interiors had drifted into a heavy 2000s Tuscan palette. The package keeps the bones, the arches, the loggias and the long sightlines, and changes the material story: lime-washed walls, limestone floors, fluted walnut and light oak, unlacquered brass, and a single green velvet accent in the game room.
Every room was drawn against its existing condition: what is there, what is wrong with it, the plan, and a rendered view of the proposal. The views below are those proposals.
The entrance foyer: the arch kept, the surfaces stripped back to plaster and stone.
